Workshop Two A Development
24/11/17

This workshop is a continuation of Workshop Two A’s phrases. I will be using the research used within that worksop and the outcomes that it had, to continue building on material and combing phrases to create a more structured section.

I decided to put this workshop in the evening on the same day as Workshop Two A, this is because I had finished the first and and had decided that I could push the material a bit further and challenge myself so I gave myself a break for the middle of the day and then found an empty studio on the evening and spent some time on this new workshop.

Plan

-Spend one hour, or more if needed, on this workshop.

-Using the music Using music 'Mountain Storm Ambience With Snowstorm & Cold Howling Wind Sounds For Sleeping And Relaxing' by Relaxing Soundzzz.

Task One- To watch over all the phrases created in Workshop Two A.

Task Two- Using trial and error, piece the phrases together to create one phrase, concentrating on the transitions between phrases and keeping the focus on the body shifting the air.

-Turn on the camera and record the phrase.

Evaluation

This workshop was very productive, I felt I managed to achieve what I had set out to do in my plan and so kept going even when I found it was becoming more challenging to keep focused through frustration of not being able to quite mix it all together at some points, however after continuing through these times it led me to an outcome that I feel responds to my sub-question ‘How does the external air influence the body?’.

The process of using trial and error to piece together the phrases from the previous workshop was the best way to do it, it allowed for me to mix and match what parts went where and so if I ran the material all together and felt a phrase was not working in a specific place then I  would go back, not being too precious about it so that I was giving myself the ability to explore as much as I could, and move the phrases around until I could dance them all as one.
